Course, logistics and services
The courses start in the town of Augusta, run through historic streets, then use the Katy Trail for flatter sections. The 5K and 10K routes turn around on the trail and return to Augusta. Half marathon participants continue into Klondike Park to use wooded, paved trails before returning to the finish near Mount Pleasant Winery. Parking is available at Mount Pleasant Winery and at the Augusta Trailhead, about 0.4 miles from the start/finish, with trolley service between the lots. Aid stations on course provide water and an electrolyte drink. Awards are given to top overall and age-group finishers; the overall winners receive additional prizes. Race cutoffs are published for each distance. Dogs are not permitted on the course except for qualified service animals with prior arrangements.
