Event Overview
The Drink MO Wine Run takes place in Augusta, Missouri. The event offers four distances: 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. The event is described as the "4th annual" run.
Course Description
The runs begin in Augusta. Participants tour the town's streets before heading onto the Katy Trail. The 5K and 10K routes turn around on the trail and return. The Half Marathon continues into Klondike Park to run on wooded trails before returning to Augusta.
Aid stations on the course provide water and electrolyte drinks.
Participant Information
Registration includes a blanket, a wine cup, a finisher medal, a "Passport to Augusta Wine County," live race results, race photos, and access to a post-race party with live music, food, and drinks. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, as well as to the top three in various age groups.
The race has time cutoffs. The Half Marathon must be completed in 3.5 hours. The 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K distances must be completed in 2 hours.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race in Chesterfield. On race day, packet pickup and the start/finish area are at Mount Pleasant Winery in Augusta. Parking is available at the winery or at a trailhead lot approximately 0.4 miles away, with trolley service provided.
Dogs are not permitted on the race course, with an exception for service animals as defined by the ADA.
Post-Race and Local Activities
The finish line area includes local businesses, light snacks, drinks, and an award ceremony. The "Passport to Missouri Wine Country" is provided to guide participants to area wineries, including Noboleis, Augusta Winery, Balducci Vineyards, Montelle Winery, and Mount Pleasant Estates. A wine trolley operates in the area on race day. Additional local activities on the same day may include Derby Day events at wineries and the final day of the Augusta Plein Air Art Festival.
