Event Overview
DRC's The Half is an annual running event organized by the Dallas Running Club. The 2026 edition marks the 51st year of this tradition held in Dallas, Texas. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Tal Morrison Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to local student-athletes.
Course and Location
The races begin at Norbuck Park, located at 200 N Buckner Blvd. The routes utilize the trails around White Rock Lake, a prominent location for running in the Dallas area. Participants can choose from three different distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10K Run/Walk (6.2 Miles)
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 Miles)
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on the Friday and Saturday preceding the race at a local athletic store on Mockingbird Lane. On the morning of the event, packet pickup is also offered at Norbuck Park. Participants are permitted to collect packets for others if they can provide confirmation of the request, such as a text message or email.
