Dragon trails Summer Edition in San Antonio
Dragon trails Summer Edition takes place on July 19, 2026, at Pearsall Park (5000 Old Pearsall Rd, San Antonio). The event offers three trail races that use marked routes on the park trails with on-course aid and a finish area near the parking and ninja adventure park.
- Great Dragon 25k: two-loop trail through front and back hills.
- Ultimate Dragon 10K: one loop following the first loop of the 25k with an early turnaround.
- SA Toughest 5K: a 3.1 mile trail with steep climbs.
Course details include notable elevation gain: each 12.5k loop of the 25k has about 778 feet of climb (about 1,556 feet total for 25k), the 10k totals about 675 feet of climb, and the 5k features nearly 100 feet of climbing per kilometer. Routes are marked with signs and cones.
Aid stations provide water and Gatorade approximately every mile. There is a bag drop at the finish area for 25k runners who return for a second loop, and aid stations offer snacks such as cookies and potatoes between loops.
Race services include packet pick up under the event tent at Pearsall Park; packets contain shirt, bib, timing chip, and safety pins. Official timing is provided by Best race timers IAAP. All participants receive a race medal or finisher tile, a singlet with the race logo, and a taco breakfast. Age group awards are given in ten year increments from 19 and under up to 70 plus. A 4 hour 30 minute overall time limit applies to the 25k, and runners must reach the finish within 2 hours 15 minutes to continue on a second loop; otherwise they may be moved to the 10k or marked DNF.
