Alamo Beer Challenge

2026 Alamo Beer Challenge - Race 1

This event is the first race in the Alamo Beer Series Challenge 2026. It is held on August 8, 2026, at the Tuscany wedding venue on Old Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, Texas. The series follows an 18 week training schedule designed for runners preparing for the San Antonio Rock and Roll Marathon and Half Marathon. Each milestone race increases in distance to fit the training plan and includes a 5k option.

Distances offered:

• 13.1 miles (half marathon, in-person and virtual options)
• 10k (in-person and virtual options)
• 5k (in-person and virtual options)
• .05k fun run
• Half Marathon 3-person relay with three legs totaling 13.1 miles
• 5k Walk Only

The relay has one exchange point at Eisenhower Park Trailhead (water stop 3). Timing uses bib-embedded chips and age group awards are based on chip time. Awards include first overall male and female, first overall masters, and age-group awards through fourth place. Age categories cover wide ranges from 14 and under up to 90+. Virtual runners may complete their distance on their own; bib assignment and packet mailing policies apply, and a packet mailing fee is noted. Refunds are not offered; transfer fees apply in the days before the race. A 50% discount is applied automatically for participants 16 and younger and for participants aged 70 and above.
