Alamo Beer Challenge Race 1
Race 1 of the Alamo Beer Series Challenge 2026 takes place on August 8, 2026 at the Tuscany wedding venue on Old Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, TX. It is presented as the first milestone training run in an 18 week training schedule for runners preparing for the San Antonio Rock and Roll Marathon and Half Marathon.
Distances offered in this event include:
- 13.1 miles half marathon
- 10k race
- 5k race
- Half marathon three person relay with three legs of 4.36 miles each
- Virtual options for 13.1, 10k and 5k
- 5k walk only and .05k fun run
The relay uses a single exchange point at Eisenhower Park trailhead and participants are expected to travel to the finish area when their leg is complete. An after party follows the race and each event has a themed unisex tri-blend race shirt.
Timing and results use chip timing. Bibs contain embedded timing chips and must be worn on the front of the shorts without bending. Awards include first overall male and female, first overall masters male and female, and age group awards based on chip time with placements for first through fourth. The event allows virtual participation and offers packet mailing for an additional charge. The organizer enforces a no refunds policy and specific transfer fees and deadlines.
