Alamo Beer Challenge : Race 1 of 4 (Remember the Alamo Beer)
The event takes place on August 8, 2026 at the Tuscany wedding venue on Old Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, Texas. It is the first race in the Alamo Beer Series Challenge 2026 and is positioned as a milestone in an 18 week training schedule for runners preparing for the San Antonio Rock and Roll Marathon and Half Marathon.

- Three person half marathon relay with three legs of 4.36 miles
- 5k Walk Only
- .05k Fun Run
- Virtual options for several distances
Relay logistics note one exchange point at Eisenhower Park Trailhead where a water stop is listed as stop 3. Course maps are provided for the 13.1, 10k, 5k, and relay. The series was developed by trainers to teach race procedures such as packet pickup, bib and chip placement, and pre race planning so participants can practice race day routines.
Operational details include chip timing with age group awards based on chip time, awards for overall and masters, wave starts, an after party at the finish, and event shirts in a soft tri blend. Virtual runners may run later and can request packet mailing for an additional fee. The event has a no refund policy and specifies transfer fees near race day. Walkers must check in with timing to be placed in the walking category. No dogs are allowed. Nonprofits participate and donations can be made during registration.
