2026 Alamo Beer Challenge Race 1
The Alamo Beer Challenge Race 1, also known as "Remember the Alamo...Beer!", is the first event in a four-part series held in San Antonio, Texas. The event serves as a milestone training run following an 18-week schedule for those preparing for winter marathons and half marathons. The races take place at the Tuscany wedding venue on Old Fredericksburg Road.
Participants can choose from several distances and categories:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- Half Marathon 3-person relay
- 10 km
- 5 km (Run or walk-only options)
- 0.05 km fun run
The half marathon relay consists of three legs, each approximately 4.36 miles, with an exchange point located at the Eisenhower Park Trailhead. Age group awards are provided for 1st through 4th place based on chip timing, with categories ranging from 14 and under to 90+. Overall awards are also given to the top male and female finishers, as well as masters.
Registration includes a soft tri-blend unisex race shirt with a unique design for the event. For those unable to attend in person, virtual options are available for the 5 km, 10 km, and 13.1 mile distances. The event supports various non-profit organizations, including Marrow Match, the San Antonio Amputee Foundation, and the San Antonio Young Marines.
