Event
The Dragon Dash is an annual 5K held in Lake Orion, Michigan on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The event is based at Civic Center Park / the Orion Center, 1335 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, MI 48360. Proceeds from the event go to Orion Area Youth Assistance and their youth programming. All finishers receive an award.
Course and registration
The course is a certified out-and-back along the Polly Ann Trail. The route starts and ends at the Orion Center and crosses Scripps Road and Greenshield Road during the out-and-back. In-person race-day registration and runner check-in are at the Orion Center. Online registration opens January 31, 2026 at 10:00 am EST with an entry price of $18; the in-person registration fee increases to $25 on race day.
