Dr. John Seaman Memorial 5K Run/Walk/Bike
This memorial event in Vicksburg, Michigan, raises funds to support a District Mission Team trip to Chile, South America in January 2028. The event is sponsored by the Michigan District Nazarene Missions International and honors the legacy of Dr. John Seaman.
Event offerings include:
- 12 Miles - bike ride
- 5K - run or walk
Registration details: the fee is $40 for all participants. Registration opens January 29, 2027 and closes May 29, 2027. Packet pickup on the day of the event occurs at the ISAC building; registered participants receive a race packet, a race shirt (guaranteed for registrations before May 10, 2027), and a race bib. Day of registration receives shirts based on availability.
Awards for the 5K run and walk include Top Overall Male and Top Overall Female, top two males and females per age category for ages 12 and older, and an ice cream coupon for all participants age 11 and under. Age categories are: 11 years and under; 12-18 years; 19-29 years; 30-44 years; 45-65 years; 66 years and older.
Timing results will be available at the end of the race. Participants are invited to wear colorful socks in honor of Dr. Seaman. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
