DQ Dash for Fireworks 5k & 1m Fun Walk
The 8th annual DQ Dash for Fireworks is scheduled for May 17, 2026 in Lewes, Delaware at 107 E. Savannah Road. The event benefits the Lewes Go 4th Fireworks Fundraiser and is produced by Seashore Strider Event Production, with Dairy Queen of Lewes as sponsor.
Distances:
- 5k Blizzard Run - 3.11 miles
- 1m Fun Walk - 1 mile
The course is described as fast and flat and is set up as an out-and-back route. Water stops are located at the start, the finish, and near the halfway point. Race timing is provided by Seashore Strider Event Production. Short sleeve T-shirts and custom awards are among the listed amenities.
Course rules and safety guidance are emphasized. Participants must follow the marked course, stay on the road where indicated, and avoid running on private property or on sidewalks where prohibited. Bicycles riding along or pacing registered runners are not allowed. Non-registered runners on the course are not permitted. Wearing headphones in both ears is discouraged for safety; single-ear use at low volume is preferred by the organizer.
