Event Overview
Dozer's Run/Walk 5K is an annual event organized by the Summers Charity Fund. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for canine cancer research. The charity was founded following the passing of a dog named Dozer to cancer in 2019. Since 2020, the event has helped raise over $100,000. All donations are given to the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine.

The event takes place in Hockessin, Delaware. The main venue and bib pick-up location is Concord Pet Hockessin. The event includes a 5K run/walk distance.
Participants who pre-register receive a swag bag with items donated from Concord Pet and its vendors, as well as an event T-shirt. Dogs are not permitted to attend the event due to insurance reasons.
Additional Activities
After the run, there is a tailgating party with outdoor games and food. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chair. The event also features an on-site raffle with prizes such as gift cards to local restaurants, gym memberships, and gift baskets. Raffle tickets can be purchased online during registration or at Concord Pet before race day. There is plenty of parking available in the Concord Pet parking lot.
