About the race
The Doylestown 5K Race is an annual Memorial Day Weekend event that includes a 5K race and a 1 Mile Fun Run. The event draws over 700 runners and a large crowd of supporters and is a member of the Bucks 5K Series. The 5K is a USATF certified course that follows an out-and-back loop and finishes on State Street in historic downtown Doylestown. The 1 Mile Fun Run is an out-and-back route down Maple Avenue that finishes in the Our Lady of Mt.
Carmel parking lot. Runners are timed using mats that provide chip times. Pre-registered participants who register before May 15 receive a race t-shirt. Registration fees listed on race materials include $35 in advance and $45 during race week for the 5K, and $15 for the Fun Run.
Overall winners, age group winners, and age-graded master winners receive awards; Fun Run participants receive prizes. After the races there are light refreshments and opportunities to support sponsors and local businesses. Proceeds from the event benefit two local non-profit organizations: Discover Doylestown and Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. Past race results are available in an archived results section.
