Doylestown 5K Race
The Doylestown 5K Race is an established athletic event held in historic Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Celebrating its 33rd annual edition, this competition is recognized as a Memorial Day weekend tradition. It serves as the largest event within the Bucks 5K Series, typically attracting more than 700 participants along with a significant number of spectators.
The event offers two distinct distances for participants:
- 5 km
- 1 mile
The 5 km race utilizes a USATF certified course. This route consists of an out-and-back loop that travels through the local area and concludes on State Street. In addition to the main race, a 1 Mile Fun Run is held shortly before the primary event. This shorter distance is open to various ages and abilities and is also used by some participants as a warm-up for the longer race.
The Doylestown 5K Race functions as a benefit for local non-profit organizations, specifically Discover Doylestown and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School. Race day activities include packet pickup, formal registration, and post-race ceremonies where awards and results are presented to the participants.
