Downtown Mile for CASA - Fredericksburg
The Downtown Mile for CASA is a one-mile evening running event in downtown Fredericksburg on Charles Street. The event supports Rappahannock Area CASA, a local non-profit that promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy for children who have experienced abuse or neglect; all proceeds will benefit that organization.
Runners compete in four separate waves based on category: females ages 15 and up, males ages 15 and up, youth ages 6-14, and a family Superhero Run open to all ages. Each wave covers 1 mile. The event is the ninth race in the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix Series; finishers receive points toward the 12-race series.
Registration fee for each wave is $30.00. Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes April 30, 2026. Shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by September 1, 2026.
Packet pickup is available at River Rock Outfitters, 1382 Carl D. Silver Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA on September 18. Race day packet pickup and on-site registration are scheduled for the afternoon of the event. The organizer provides a post-race atmosphere in the downtown area.
