9/11 Heroes Run - Quantico, Virginia
The 9/11 Heroes Run takes place on 09/19/2026 at Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, Virginia. The event includes running and rucking divisions and a volunteer option hosted on the same date.
Race entries are offered as 5K run divisions and 5K ruck divisions. There are separate registration categories for individual participants and for active duty military or first responders. Registration for the run and ruck divisions opens on 05/27/2026 and closes on 06/29/2026. Volunteer registration opens on 05/27/2026 and remains available through the event date.
The event honors the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served since, and it aims to activate and unite communities while supporting local veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and families of the fallen. Organizers partner with GORUCK to offer rucking divisions; rucking involves walking or running while carrying a weighted rucksack.
