9/11 Heroes Run - Quantico, Virginia
The event takes place on 09/19/2026 at Colonial Forge High School, 550 Courthouse Rd., Stafford, VA 22554. It brings together runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served since.
The program includes multiple divisions: 5K Run entries listed as PUSHER, RIDER (Honor Bib), and a general 5K; a 5K Ruck division; and volunteer roles. Registration windows and fees vary by division. For the PUSHER and RIDER divisions registration opens July 6; the PUSHER fee is $36 and the RIDER Honor Bib is free. The general 5K and the 5K Ruck open registration May 27; the 5K fee is $36 and the 5K Ruck fee is $41. Volunteer registration opens May 27 and is free.
The event is organized to activate and unite communities and to support local veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF partners with GORUCK to offer rucking divisions at this run. Rucking involves walking or running while carrying a weighted rucksack, and participants registered in the GORUCK division receive that year’s exclusive TMF GORUCK patch.
