Downtown Kitchener Mile 2026
Downtown Kitchener Mile 2026 takes place at Victoria Park in Kitchener, ON and is presented as part of the Run Pure + Simple series. This is the sixth running of the certified 1,609 metre mile event.
The course follows one full loop plus one partial loop inside Victoria Park and is certified by Athletics Canada. The park remains open during the event, so other park and trail users may be present; volunteers will be on site to assist and inform the public.
Timing uses reusable electronic chips; participants are expected to return chips after finishing. Results will be posted online after the race. The event is described as having no swag, no food, and no awards provided as part of the standard offering.
The event is free for Run Waterloo members; fees apply for non-members. The registration policy states that all entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable with no exceptions. Strollers are not permitted on the course. Kit pickup is available only on race day at Victoria Park and there are no race day entries.
