Downtown Kitchener Mile 2026
The event takes place at Victoria Park in Kitchener, Ontario. This is the sixth running of a certified 1,609 metre one mile race. The course uses one full loop and one partial loop inside the park; the park remains open to other users during the event.
The race is chip timed using reusable chips that must be returned after finishing. Results are posted online following the event. Registration follows a strict policy: entries are non refundable, non transferable, and non deferrable. Strollers are not permitted on the course. Kit pickup is available only on race day at Victoria Park and race day entries are not accepted.
The race is presented as part of the Run Pure + Simple series and does not include items such as t shirts or finisher medals. The event is free to Run Waterloo members; registration fees apply to non members and are listed on the event registration page. Volunteers are on site to help inform the public and manage the course. The course certification was completed by Athletics Canada. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
