Event overview
The Electrolit 5K Foam Fest Canada is a 5K obstacle-course fun run with a festival atmosphere. The course includes 25 obstacles and is described as family friendly for participants aged 7 and up. Children aged 7 to 12 must run with a registered adult; children 13 and older may participate without an adult. Children 6 and under cannot run the course but receive free access to a supervised Kids FUN Zone with a mini inflatable obstacle course and bounce house.
Course features, logistics and charity
The course features more than 25 obstacles, with examples listed as a large inflatable waterslide, multiple slip n slides, mud pits at certain venues, a Foam Zone and a finale called the Foamy Finish. Organizers state they pump about 2.5 million cubic feet of foam at each event. Obstacles are optional and staff and volunteers are positioned on course to help or provide alternate routes.
Events are limited to 5,000 participants per day and use scheduled waves (every 20 minutes) to reduce congestion. The run is held rain or shine, with postponement or cancellation only for severe weather or unsafe conditions. Registration and ticket policies noted on the event page include no refunds, but tickets may be transferred for a $15 fee; day-of registration is possible if waves remain open and has a stated fee. The tour lists multiple Canadian locations and notes a national fundraising partnership with Make-A-Wish Canada, plus fundraising incentives and prizes tied to participant fundraising.
