Dorney Lake Triathlon
The Dorney Lake Triathlon takes place at an Olympic venue in Windsor, featuring a purpose-built lake and flat, traffic-free paths. The event includes several multisport options, including full triathlons, Aquabike (swim and bike) formats, and Relay options for teams.
Participants compete on a course consisting of calm open water followed by bike and run laps on wide roads beside the lake. The terrain is entirely road-based and flat, with total elevation gains ranging from 20m to 80m depending on the distance selected.
The following distances are available:
- Super Sprint: 400m swim, 9.5km bike (2 laps), and 2.5km run.
- Sprint: 750m swim, 19km bike (4 laps), and 5km run.
- Standard: 1500m swim, 38km bike (8 laps), and 10km run.
The event utilizes chip-timing for all participants to provide accurate results. An event village is situated on-site, offering various food and drink options. All finishers receive a themed medal and post-race goodies. Free race photos are also provided to participants as part of their entry.
