Dorney Lake Triathlon
The Dorney Lake Triathlon takes place at a purpose-built Olympic venue in Windsor. The event utilizes the flat grounds of the estate to provide a course consisting of a lake swim followed by a road-based bike and run circuit. The flat profile of the terrain is designed to support participants seeking personal best times. The event is held in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.
Participants can choose from several triathlon distances or alternative multisport formats:
- Super Sprint: 400m swim, 9.5km bike (2 laps), and 2.5km run.
- Sprint: 750m swim, 19km bike (4 laps), and 5km run.
- Standard: 1500m swim, 38km bike (8 laps), and 10km run.
- Aquabike: A swim and bike only option available for Sprint and Standard distances.
- Relay: Teams of two or three individuals can share the different disciplines.
The course features distance flags for each discipline and is chip-timed to provide accurate results. An event village is located on-site, offering various food and drink options. Every participant receives a themed medal, free race photos, and post-race refreshments. Marshals are positioned throughout the course to provide guidance and assistance during the disciplines.
