The Silent Pool 10k is a guided evening trail run starting and finishing at Silent Pool, Albury, Guildford, UK. The event has been scheduled on multiple evenings between 28 March 2023 and 8 September 2026. Distance: 10km. Cost listed at £16 per person. A car park is available at the meeting point. Route and logistics
The route uses sections of the North Downs Way, passes through Netley Heath forest and descends to the village of Shere, passing several film locations. The course includes wide trails and single-track sections. Runs are offered in two formats: sunset runs in lighter months and night runs in darker months, with night runs using headtorches in a group setting. Participants are guided by an experienced trail running guide and the event is run as a group rather than a race. Suggested ability is to sustain about 10 min/mile (6 min/km) pace on trails and have a suitable level of fitness. A full kit list is provided to participants; Silva head torches and Salomon trail shoes are available to trial, and an alcohol-free beer from Athletic Brewing Company may be offered after the run, subject to availability.
