Dorney Duathlon - November
The Dorney Duathlon takes place at Dorney Lake in Windsor, a venue previously used for Olympic events. Participants can choose between several distances, which utilize the flat and scenic grounds of the estate. The course is entirely off open roads, providing a closed environment for both the bike and run disciplines.
The event features a multi-lap format that is designed to be spectator-friendly. Supporters can watch the progress from a balcony cafe that overlooks the transition area. The courses are chip-timed, and the run section is marked with distance flags to assist athletes with their pacing. Staff and helpers are positioned throughout the bike and run legs to provide directional support and encouragement.
Available race formats include:
- Super Sprint Duathlon: 2.5 km run, 10 km bike, and 2.5 km run.
- Sprint Duathlon: 5 km run, 19 km bike, and 2.5 km run.
- Standard Duathlon: 10 km run, 38 km bike, and 5 km run.
All listed distances are also available as relay options. This is a draft-illegal competition. Participants are required to hold a British Triathlon race licence, which can be obtained through an annual membership or by purchasing a single-use Race Pass. Free parking is available on-site for all participants and visitors. Specific age requirements apply to different distances, with the Standard distance open to those aged 17 and over, while the shorter distances are open to those aged 15 and over.
