Doreen Myers 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The event is a 5K run and a free 1 mile fun run or walk for children held in Woodbine, Georgia, as part of the 38th Annual Crawfish Festival. The festival includes children's amusements, arts and crafts, cloggers, square dancers, and live bands. Proceeds from the 5K benefit the Safe Harbor Children’s Advocacy Centers serving Camden, Glynn, and Wayne counties.

The course begins near Highway 17 and 4th Street by Woodbine City Hall, follows a nature trail and boardwalk through Woodbine, and finishes at Satilla Waterfront Park by the Satilla River. Runners receive a custom t-shirt, raffle prizes, medals for age group winners, a sponsor goodie bag, water, Gatorade, and bananas. Overall awards are given to the top three timed finishers and age group awards are given by male and female categories for 18 and under, 19 to 35, 36 to 59, and 60 and older. Additional awards recognize first responders, most spirited participants, best team player, and best dressed.
Packet pickup is available at Woodbine City Hall at 310 Bedell Avenue on the day before and the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
