Door County Fall 50

The Fall 50 solo event on October 24, 2026 is a point to point ultramarathon across the Door County peninsula in Wisconsin. The course runs from Gills Rock to Sturgeon Bay and covers approximately 50.2 miles along quiet, tree‑canopied roads and waterfront villages. Organizers describe over 95% of the route as asphalt road with rolling hills and scenic views.

Registration for the event opens April 1, 2026 and closes October 19, 2026. A one way coach shuttle to the start is available to solo runners for a fee; pickups are at Sunset Park and the Stone Harbor Resort parking lot. Non-runners and relay teams are not permitted on the solo shuttle.

Drop bags are accessible at all aid stations, including mile 5.4 (Exchange 1), 11.6, 18.8, 23.9, 28.9, 32.7, 36.8, 43.0, 46.0, and the finish at about mile 50.7. Drop bags may be left at packet pickup at Stone Harbor Resort on Friday or at the start line on race morning. Runners are advised to label items and to include a warm change of clothes for the finish.

Runners have 12 hours to complete the solo event and must maintain a 14:20 per mile pace for the 50.2 miles; there are cutoffs at Exchange 5 (mile 29) and Exchange 8 (mile 43). Every aid station has a solo runners only tent with water, sports drink, soda, fruit, baked goods, candy, energy bars, and gels. Exchange 5 provides a Half Way Buffet with hot chicken noodle soup or broth and PB&J sandwiches.

A headlamp or flashlight is required for the early section of the race and may be needed for late miles; lights can be dropped at mile 5.4 in a marked box if labeled. Crew support is allowed only within aid station areas; pacers are not permitted and outside aid may lead to disqualification. Solo finishers receive a finisher medal and winter beanie. Awards are given to the top five men and top five women in Open (39 and under) and Masters (40 and over) divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
