Dooker's Dash is a community running event held in Tarbert on 15 August 2026. The programme includes a range of races for very young children through to adults, using flat and accessible routes in town and at the marina.
Children's and youth races use short, flat courses in welcoming spaces. Organisers provide quieter, wider areas for children who prefer more room, and some school-age races welcome adult helpers. Short track events take place at the MUGA.
The longer route starts at Garval Point, passes through Tarbert harbour and finishes at the marina. Participants can complete the 5 km route once or run it twice to cover 10 km.
Every participant receives a medal and a goody bag. Male and female prizes are presented for first to third places, and a separate first local prize is awarded.
An open afternoon at the Tarbert Bowling Club follows the races. Activities listed for the afternoon include lawn bowls, pickleball or tennis, basketball, food, refreshments and music.

- 10 km : Ages 16 to 100 plus, fee £30
- 5 km : Ages 16 to 100 plus, fee £25
- 1 km : Ages 8 to 15, fee £8
- 200 m : Ages 5 to 7, fee £8
- Toddler Dash : Ages 0 to 4, fee £8
- Dashing Dookers : School age accessible race, fee £8
