St. Patrick-themed Running Event in Wichita
The Time to Paddy 5k/10k and Lucky 13.1 is an annual St. Patrick-themed running event held at the South Botanica Parking Lot in Wichita, Kansas. The event features several road race options and a dedicated youth program. Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1 mile
- 50m Kid's Dash
Registered participants for the 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. These primary race distances are chip-timed with live results and awards. The 1 mile and Kid's Dash are untimed events. The Kid's Dash is designed for children aged 10 and under and includes a youth-sized shirt and a specific medal. Children may also participate in the dash for free if they do not require the event shirt and medal.
The event includes a team competition where groups can compete for the "Biggest Paddy" award. Groups of five or more registrants are eligible for partial registration refunds. Post-race activities include professional photos and refreshments. For those unable to attend the physical location, a virtual race option allows participants to complete their chosen distance independently and receive their medal and shirt by mail.
