Missouri State University Inspire the Roar 5K

The Inspire the Roar 5K is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2026, on the Missouri State University campus with start and finish at the Foster Recreation Center in Springfield, MO. The course distance is 3.1 miles and follows a campus route.

The event is presented by Campus Recreation as part of Family Weekend. Registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes September 1, 2026; the registration fee is $40.00. Packet pickup is available at the Foster Recreation Center on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm and on the event date from 6:30am - 7:30am.

Runners begin first, followed by joggers and then walkers. Families with strollers and well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. Participants may receive a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last. Awards will be presented to top finishers in multiple categories. At the finish area there will be music, snacks, and a recovery zone.
