Missouri State University Inspire the Roar 5K

The Inspire the Roar 5K is a community run and walk held on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield. Organized by the Campus Recreation department, the event is part of the university's Family Weekend tradition. The route takes participants through the campus grounds, starting and finishing at the Foster Recreation Center.

The race is open to participants of all fitness levels. The route is pet-friendly and accessible for strollers, provided that dogs remain on leashes. Participants are encouraged to wear university spirit gear during the run.

Registration includes a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last. The event organizers provide a recovery zone at the finish line, which includes music and snacks for participants. Awards are presented to top finishers across various categories. Packet pickup is available at the Foster Recreation Center on the Friday preceding the event as well as on the morning of the run.
