About the race
The Time Travel event in Greater Chicago on 01/02/2027 offers multiple in-person race options plus a virtual option. Several distances are available for participants of different ages and preferences.
- Kid's Dash - 100 m, ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile - untimed fun run
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 10K - 6.2 miles
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
- Virtual - run any day at a chosen location
- Volunteer then Run - volunteer before packet pickup, then run any distance
In-person race registrations commonly include a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. Chip-timing with live results and awards is provided for the in-person races, and free photos are available. Registration by midnight on Thursday, two Thursdays before race day guarantees a shirt. Youth pricing applies for the 5K and 10K: 12 and under are $17.
The Kid's Dash is an untimed dash for kids 10 and under; registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specifically crafted medal. A child may participate in the Kid's Dash without receiving the event swag. The Virtual option includes a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping; packets ship the Wednesday after the race. Virtual participants can upload times starting the day of the event and may upload photos to the participant album.
The Volunteer then Run option asks volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup to assist and then run any distance of their choice. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
