Event Information
The Don Morrison Edale Skyline is a fell race held in Edale. The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday, 22 March.
Course & Terrain
It is a category A long fell race held on an unmarked course covering high and exposed fell terrain where potential harsh conditions can occur. Competitors must be able to safely navigate around exposed fell terrain in potential winter conditions. A map and compass are essential, as GPS navigation is not permitted.
Entry Requirements
Entry requires either a finish in this race within the last five years, or completion of two AL category fell races in the last four years. Alternatively, entrants can demonstrate equivalent experience and navigational competence to the organizer's satisfaction. Entries open on 1 February 2026 via SiEntries. A waiting list will be available once the race is full.
There is a mandatory kit list that goes beyond the standard Fell Running Association (FRA) kit list for an AL race. This kit list is published on the organizer's website. Kit requirements may be relaxed to the standard FRA list if the weather forecast is favourable.
