Peak District Birthday Bash
The Peak District Birthday Bash takes place on Saturday 17 April 2027 and is based at The Peveril Centre in Castleton. The event offers long distance walking and trail running routes that circle the central Peak District.
Two course options are provided. The full route is 70 kilometres (43.5 miles) and follows a route around the central Peak District. A shorter option of 35 kilometres (22.75 miles) covers part of the same area. The event is open to both walkers and runners and highlights varied local landscapes.
Age requirements differ by course: the full route requires participants to be 20 years or older, while the half route requires participants to be 18 years or older. Entries open on 29 August 2026 and close on 4 April 2027. Entry fees listed include affiliated and non affiliated prices for each distance.
Additional participant options include the ability to buy a waterproof paper map of the route for £4 and the option to purchase XCover for potential refunds. The event is hosted as a celebration of the anniversary of the Peak District National Park and supports the conservation and engagement projects of the Peak District National Park Foundation.
