21st Annual Dolphin Dash 5K
The Dolphin Dash is an annual running event held at 885 Schumann Drive in Virginia Beach. This event serves as a fundraiser for Abby's Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports childhood cancer research and care. Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 5 km
- 1 mile (Mini-Dash)
The 1 mile Mini-Dash is specifically designed for smaller children and takes place on a shorter length of track. All participants who register for the race receive a race bag and a T-shirt, which features a design by an Ocean Lakes student.
Upon crossing the finish line, participants receive a door prize ticket for a drawing held at the conclusion of the races. Additional tickets for these prizes are available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the foundation. Food, drinks, and coupons are available for all participants on the day of the event.
