5K Run/Walk for Haiti
The 5K Run/Walk for Haiti is a community event held in Virginia Beach. Organized by the Church of the Holy Family's Haiti Ministry, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Teacher 2 Teacher program. All proceeds from the race are used to support forty teachers working across five different schools in Baptiste, Haiti.
The course for the event is designed as a loop that begins and finishes at the Church of the Holy Family on North Great Neck Road. Participants follow a route that leads through the local Laurel Cove neighborhood. The event includes two primary categories for registration:
