Dolly Should 9 to 5K
The inaugural Dolly Should 9 to 5K is presented by Bay St. Louis Running Company and Mockingbird Café and takes place on January 9, 2027 in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. The course starts and finishes at Mockingbird Café, 110 South Second Street, Bay Saint Louis, MS 39520.
The event is an untimed 3.1 mile walk/run inspired by Dolly. Participants are invited to wear Dolly-themed costumes; a costume contest will recognize the best outfits with awards. Registration is free; registration opens August 25, 2026 and closes January 9, 2027. Instead of a registration fee, participants are asked to bring a new or gently used children’s book or make a monetary donation to support Dolly’s Literacy Initiative.
At the finish area, mimosas, juice, and water will be available. The event combines a community walk/run format with a children’s book drive and a costume element tied to Dolly’s literacy mission. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
