Dole 3 Miler
The Dole 3 Miler takes place in Fryeburg, Maine on August 8, 2026. It is a three mile down and back race along the Fryeburg Rail Trail. The event is organized by the Fryeburg New Church Assembly and is presented as a family friendly gathering that recognizes runners of various ages.

The event honors George Dole and his accomplishments as an elite runner in 1954; he was in the pole position during the race when Roger Bannister broke the four minute mile. Registration opens May 1 and closes August 7. The registration fee is $25.00. T-shirts will be available only until July 4. A virtual option is offered; virtual participants receive a t-shirt and a handcrafted sturdley but are not eligible for additional prizes. Prizes in past editions have included $200 gift certificates to Tracksmith, a commemorative t-shirt, and a handcrafted sturdley.
