Event overview

The Dogwood Ultra Marathons take place March 20-22, 2026 at Twin Lakes State Park, Shelter 1, 788 Twin Lakes Rd, Green Bay, VA. The event offers multiple timed and distance options across solo and relay formats. Relays may include 3 to 6 participants; the organizer notes ideal team sizes for certain relay distances. All events use the same 3.42 mile loop. Each loop has about 400 feet of elevation change and includes a couple of stream crossings. The course is a rolling loop; conditions may include wet crossings. Runners must complete whole laps to score notable distances. Specified lap counts are given for 50k, 50 miles, 100k and 100 miles, and only laps finished before the event time cap count. Prizes and finisher awards are described for place finishers and for completing 50k, 50 mile, 100k and 100 mile distances; 100 mile finishers receive a belt buckle. Additional notes: the event is cupless, gluten free aid options will be available on request, and primitive camping is offered near the start line.
