Event Overview

DOGSPEED is a 12-hour community run and walk event. It is hosted by the Kaizen Running Club of Tahlequah. The event aims to collect pet food and supplies for the Humane Society of Cherokee County.

Event Details

The activity consists of completing as many 1-mile loops as participants wish within a 12-hour window. The scenic loop starts and finishes on the front lawn of the Northeastern State University Fitness Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

The event is untimed, and participants are responsible for tracking their own completed loops. The format is flexible, allowing people to come and go throughout the day.

Supporting the Cause

The entry cost is a $5 fee plus a donation of dog food, cat food, or other pet supplies. The $5 fee helps cover event costs for the running club. All additional funds and donations go directly to the Humane Society of Cherokee County.

On-Site Activities

Beyond running and walking, the event site will feature games, prizes, snacks for people and pets, drinks, and shade. There will also be a 16-foot inflatable bouncy water slide. Representatives from the Humane Society will be present with adoptable pets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
