19th Dogfish Dash
The Dogfish Dash is a community running and walking event held on September 27, 2026 at Dogfish Head Milton Brewery, 6 Cannery Village Center, Milton, DE. The event includes two course options:
- 3.81 miles Dash (running race)
- 1.83 miles Walk (walking only)
Registration opens in June and closes in late September. Registration fees are listed for runners and walkers and include race packet items, a t-shirt, a reusable bag, and two beverage tickets for attendees aged 21 and over. There is no day-of packet pick-up; packets must be collected at designated pre-race packet pick-up events.
Race timing will be provided using the Chronotrack B Chip system. Awards will be presented for the running race including overall male and female champions, masters (40+), and top three finishers in multiple age categories; there are no awards for the walk. A Recycled Costume Contest runs on race day; costumes must be made from recycled materials and judging takes place before the race. Prizes are offered for group and individual winners.
All event proceeds will be donated to the Sussex County Land Trust to support land preservation and stewardship. The event is open to all ages, is pet friendly, and will proceed rain or shine. Due to the charitable nature of the event, race registration is nonrefundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
