Dog Days of Summer
The event is scheduled for August 8, 2026, at Dawson Park at Lake McIntosh, 1757 Harvard St., Longmont, Colorado. The main running route follows the full perimeter of Lake McIntosh and combines paved and dirt surfaces. The course passes mountain views, open farmland, and areas with aquatic wildlife.
Activities are centered near the Dawson Neighborhood park by the pirate ship playground, where vendors, music, and games will be present. Dogs are encouraged to participate.
Two distance options are offered:
- 3.5 Miles
- 1K Kidz Dash
Registration fees listed with the event are $35.00 for the 3.5 miles and $20.00 for the 1K Kidz Dash. The event includes a charitable partnership with the Longmont Humane Society; registrants may add an optional Wag Wave donation and a portion of event proceeds will be donated to the shelter to support animal wellbeing.
