Event overview
The District Dash on March 1, 2026 includes a half marathon and a 5k in Georgetown and at Fletcher’s Boathouse along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path. Distances offered:
- Half marathon
- 5k
Both courses are out-and-back routes on the C&O Canal path. The half marathon runs along a light gravel dirt road with minimal elevation change and begins and ends in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club. The 5k begins and ends at Fletcher’s Boathouse and follows a light gravel, flat trail with no major elevation gains. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, Endurance, Back of the Pack Series and the Winter Series.
