5k Beer Run at Distraction Brewing Co.
This event is an untimed, about 5K fun run that starts and ends at Distraction Brewing Co. in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston, MA. The organizer maps a course on public roads and sidewalks to showcase the surrounding neighborhoods; the route is marked with arrows and participants are responsible for obeying traffic laws and for their own safety.
Registration includes one craft beverage from Distraction Brewing Co., a choice of a collector's pint glass or a Brewery Running Series swag item, and access to onsite festivities and giveaways. The event is open to participants of any age; a valid ID is required to receive alcoholic beverages. Registered participants under 21 receive a token for a nonalcoholic drink.
The event is presented by the Massachusetts Brewery Running Series, whose stated mission is to be active, have fun, and give back. A portion of proceeds from this event supports local nonprofits; the series reports more than $500,000 raised to date. Registration is limited by the taproom size. The event proceeds in all weather except in unsafe conditions, there is no bag check, and dogs and strollers are allowed on the course with care and caution.
