Disco Dash - S&O Beer Run
Disco Dash takes place Saturday, November 14th, 2026 on the New Westminster Quay. It is a glow filled 5 km night run that starts and finishes at Park C in Westminster Pier Park. The measured and professionally timed course is an out-and-back along the waterfront boardwalk beside the Fraser River. The path is mostly flat with gentle curves and includes a short detour into a residential path.
Included with participation are a unique finisher's medal, a professionally timed and measured 5K course, one beer included with the race bib, a swag bag and glow gear. The event marked the reopening of the full Quay boardwalk and raised over $2,000 for KidSport New West.
A free kids race is offered for participants aged 11 and under. The kids race is non competitive and untimed and runs out and back to the end of the pier.
Logistics and on site services include race kit pickup at Steel & Oak Brewing Co with pickup dates announced soon, a bag check located near the start and finish with label requirements, water available before and after the run and a snack station at the finish, first aid on site, and a post race massage with proceeds donated to KidSport. Transit access is a short walk from New Westminster or Columbia stations. Paid parking is available steps from Pier Park but parking may be limited. Registration for next year opens mid December.
