Event
The Disco Dash is a 5 km community night run. The event takes place on November 7, 2026 at Westminster Pier Park on 6th Street in New Westminster, British Columbia.
Course
The start and finish are at Pier Park. The out-and-back route follows the Fraser River along a waterfront boardwalk, with a turnaround point at the New Westminster Quay. The path is described as mostly flat with gentle curves.
Atmosphere and Inclusions
The event emphasizes a glow-filled, festive atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to wear their brightest costumes, glow sticks, LED gear, or reflective attire. Registration includes several items:
- A unique finisher's medal
- One beer at the finish line
- Professional timing with a bib and chip
- A well-marked and accurately measured course
- A swag bag
- Access to the DJ after-party
Organization and Fundraising
The event is organized by the S&O Beer Run and supports the organization KidSport New West. This organization provides grants to help cover registration fees for sports for youth aged 18 and under in New Westminster. Donations can be made during the registration process or via the event page.
Registration Policies
The event has strict policies: no refunds, no deferrals to another year, and no waitlist. Registration transfers are possible but must be done through the Race Roster platform.
