Dirty Spokes Iron Hill Trail Run
This trail running event takes place at Red Top Mountain State Park in Cartersville, GA on Apr 3, 2027. The event offers two measured trail distances:
- 7.4 miles
- 3.7 miles
The field is capped at 325 participants because of parking and trail capacity. Packet pickup happens in the small grassy field next to the Iron Hill Trail parking area. A super soft tri-blend race shirt is included with registration, though shirts are not guaranteed for late or race day registrations.
Parking at the park requires a Georgia State Parks fee of $10.00 per car or an annual pass, and parking space is limited. Directions from I-75 North use Exit 285 (Red Top Mountain Road) with the Iron Hill Trail parking area a few miles off the exit; the parking lot serves as the race start and finish area.
Entry prices vary by registration date. For the 7.4-mile race the posted entry fees range from $45.00 to $55.00; for the 3.7-mile race fees range from $40.00 to $50.00.
Awards are organized by age and masters categories, with age groups listed from 14 and under up through 80 plus, plus Masters, Grandmasters and Senior Grandmasters divisions. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
