Dirty Lion Mud Run & 1 Mile Leo Mud Run

The Dirty Lion Mud Run is an outdoor sports event held in King George, Virginia. The event features a combination of trails, mud holes, and various obstacles designed to test participants. This event serves as the primary fundraiser for the Dahlgren Lions Club, with proceeds supporting community services such as eye and hearing exams, glasses, and scholarships.

Participants can choose from two distinct distances:

  • 4 Mile mud run, open to participants aged 14 to 100.
  • 1 Mile Leo Mud Run, designated for children between the ages of 5 and 13.

The event includes a Team Challenge component where groups can compete for awards in three size categories: small (10 or fewer members), medium (11 to 20 members), and large (21 or more members). Awards for teams are presented for the most members and the best team outfits. Individual awards are also provided for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners within specified age groups ranging from under 19 to over 60.

The course is located at 7800 Fitzhugh Lane, where parking is available in the nearby cul-de-sac. Participants can collect their race bibs and event t-shirts on the morning of the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
