Dirty Grass Soul Rockin’ and Runnin’ 5k
The third annual Dirty Grass Soul Rockin’ and Runnin’ 5k is a community road race on June 27, 2026, held at Fallston Elementary School, 112 Gary St, Fallston, NC 28042. The event distance is 3.1 Miles and the course starts and finishes at Fallston Elementary School, following local roads including NC Hwy 18, Charolais Drive, Fallston-Waco Road, NC 182 (Stage Coach Trail) and Boggs Drive.
Proceeds from the event are donated to music education programs in Cleveland County schools through the Cleveland County Schools Education Foundation with the memo Dirty Grass Soul Music & Arts Fund. The event is organized as a nonprofit fundraiser.
Registration information includes a $30 fee, a registration period that opens March 31, 2026 and closes June 24, 2026, and a guaranteed event t-shirt for registrations completed by June 7, 2026. Packet pickup is available at Fallston Elementary School on the day before and the day of the race.
Awards include first place overall male and female, first place in each age group, and a finisher medal for all participants. Age groups for male and female divisions are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
