Dirty Dog Trail Marathon and Half Marathon : June 13, 2026
The Dirty Dog Trail Marathon and Half Marathon takes place in the Boise foothills at the Military Reserve Flood Basin Dog Park on the Ridge to Rivers Trail System. The 2026 event marks the tenth running of these trail races.

The marathon course features large climbs, fast descents and extensive single-track trail. The first man and woman to reach the top of the Hard Guy climb will find a $100 prize each. The half marathon combines single-track sections with some dirt road and is described as challenging yet suitable for a first trail race experience.
Organizers provide multiple well-stocked aid stations staffed by volunteers. Aid station locations are: half marathon at miles 4.5, 6.8 and 8.9; full marathon at miles 4.5, 6.8, 14.5 and 21.5.
Registration for the event closes on Saturday, June 6 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. There is a shirt guarantee cutoff: entries made after Saturday, May 30 are not guaranteed a shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
