Dino Stomp Out Kids Cancer 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Dino Stomp Out Kids Cancer event takes place at Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Texas. This benefit event is organized by Brooke’s Blossoming Hope for Childhood Cancer Foundation to support children fighting cancer. Participants have the opportunity to traverse trails that are typically not accessible to the public, including areas near the Paluxy River where actual dinosaur tracks are visible.
The event offers two distinct distances for participants:
- 5K run or walk through the park trail system.
- 1 Mile fun run, walk, or hike suitable for various fitness levels.
Medals are awarded to top finishers across numerous age divisions for both males and females, starting from age 9 and under up to 70 and over. Children who participate in the races are eligible to receive a free kite for a scheduled post-race flying activity. Registration includes a race t-shirt for those who sign up by the specified early deadline in late April. The 5K course follows the shores of the Paluxy River, providing a natural setting for the fundraiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
