Die to Run - The 5k
Die to Run - The 5k takes place on May 16, 2026 at Hangar 3 inside the Hatbox Sports Complex in Muskogee, Oklahoma, 640 S 40th St. The course follows a loop of the Hatbox Sports Complex trail and uses the open doors of Airport Hangar 3 for the start and for the finish, so runners pass through the hangar.
The 5 km race is held as part of the larger Die to Run event and shares the venue with the Die to Run Ultra; the 5k start occurs during that multiloop event. A course map is listed as coming soon.
Awards include wooden Die to Run 5k finishers medals for all 5k participants. The top male and top female finishers receive a solid cedar 3.5 x 3.5 inch wooden die, laser engraved on site with the runner name and 5k time.
T shirts are guaranteed for runners registered by May 1; limited extras may be available for later registrations. Registration opens December 17, 2025 and is listed as closing May 10, 2026. The listed registration fee is $30. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
