Event details
The Dickson Olympic and Sprint Triathlon takes place on June 20, 2026, at Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson, TN. The swim is held in Acorn Lake, which has no current and no large swells. Custom shirts and socks are provided for participants. The event does not include an Endurance distance this year. All events are sanctioned by USA Triathlon.
Format and awards
Distances offered:
- Olympic distance - Swim: 1500 m; Bike: 40 km; Run: 10 km.
- Sprint distance - Swim: 0.5 mile; Bike: 17 miles; Run: 5 km.
Race descriptions note a flat to hilly bike course and an out-and-back run course with aid and water stations. Divisions include individual, Clydesdale (220+), Athena (165+), relay, and aquabike options across Sprint and Olympic distances. Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and the top three male and female masters. Age group awards are given first through third in these male and female groups: 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-55, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+.
Registration notes: USA Triathlon requires either a one-day license ($15) or an annual membership ($50) to compete; youth one-day or annual license is $10.
