Día de los Muertos 5K (South Salt Lake)
Wasatch Trails Collective presents a community run and walk on November 1, 2026, at Tracy Aviary’s Nature Center at Pia Okwai in South Salt Lake, Utah. The event combines a short race with cultural and community-focused activities.
The event features a 5K run and walk. Registration opens October 1, 2026 and closes October 30, 2026. The registration fee is $20. Bib and t-shirt pick-up will be available the day before the event. More details will be emailed to registrants.
All net proceeds from the event will be donated to the Salt Lake Community Bail Fund. That organization posts bail for individuals in Salt Lake County, works against the money bail system described as unjust, and since December 2025 has expanded to include posting immigration bonds and offering support for court and immigration hearings and appointments.
The event is described as family friendly and accessible. The route accommodates people using wheels such as strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers. Organizers provide an option for registrants to raise accessibility questions or request specific support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
