Traverse Mountain Half Marathon
The Traverse Mountain Half Marathon is a late fall half marathon held in Highland City, Utah, that follows established paved trails along the Wasatch Front. The route uses the Murdock Canal Trail and the Utah Rail Trail and passes views of Lone Peak, Box Elder, and Mount Timpanogos. The course crosses a large pedestrian bridge and reaches Shadow Ridge Park as a midpoint before returning to Mitchell Hollow Park for the finish.
The event emphasizes a well marked, pavement-based course that does not require runners to cross roads or share the right of way with vehicles. Amenities listed for participants include a high quality race shirt, locally made finisher and age-group medals, free race photos without watermarks, live results, and well stocked aid stations offering Gatorade, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and an assortment of packaged snacks.
Packet pickup is scheduled the Friday before the race at the Salt Lake Running Company location in Sandy, with an alternate pickup on Thursday when Friday falls on Halloween. Parking is available at Mitchell Hollow Trailhead with roughly 50 spots and additional street or church parking nearby. Late registration opens October 7 and closes November 6; same day registration is not offered. Volunteers receive a credit toward future events and access to finish-area food.
