Dia De Los Miles 5K, Fun Run & Mercado
Dia De Los Miles is a community running event set in District 56 in Elk Grove. The event program includes a timed 5K and several youth fun runs, and it features a mercado with local Latino artists selling textiles, decorative plates, beaded jewelry, and hand-tooled leather goods. Strollers and well-behaved dogs are allowed on the course. Post-race snacks are provided for participants.

- 1/2 mile kids fun run
- 1/4 mile kids fun run
All 5K participants receive a super-soft tri-blend event T-shirt in unisex, women, or youth sizing and a custom medal. Kids in the 1/2 mile and 1/4 mile runs also receive medals. The event names the Latino Center of Art and Culture as its beneficiary; donations support that organization’s mission to foster artistic, economic, and cultural development for the Sacramento region’s Latinx community through exhibitions, programs, and services.
