Dia de las Mascotas 5k Bash
Dia de las Mascotas 5k Bash is the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter's second annual Day of the Dead themed run and walk, held in Green Lake, Wisconsin on October 31, 2026. The event pairs community activity with fundraising to support adoption, education, and care for stray and surrendered pets in Green Lake County.
Distances offered:
- Lil' Goblins 1 mile kids race
- The Great Pup'kin 5K
Both the 1 mile and the 5K will be timed. Dogs are encouraged to participate and several dog contests are planned, including best kisser, best trick, and best costume. Prizes will be awarded to top dogs and participation prizes will be given to all canine entrants.
Vendors will be present, including a brat fry and face painting. Kids who register by October 9 will receive a swag bag that includes a hat and other items. 5K registrants who register by October 9 will receive a swag bag that includes a t shirt and a finisher medal. Same day registration will be available and shirts and hats will be offered for purchase.
The running route follows the local bike trail. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter to support its programs and services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
