Día de las Mascotas 5k Fun Run
This community event on October 31, 2026, in Green Lake, Wisconsin, is organized to benefit the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter. The event has a Day of the Dead theme and welcomes participants and their dogs. All net proceeds will support adoption, education, and care for stray and surrendered pets in Green Lake County.
Two organized races are listed:
- 1 mile Lil' Goblins kids race
- 3.1 miles The Great Pup'kin 5K
Both the 1 mile and the 5K will be timed. The running route follows the local bike trail. Dogs are encouraged to participate and several dog contests are planned, including best kisser, best trick, and best costume. Prizes will be awarded to top canine entries and to top race finishers, with participation prizes available for all dogs.
Vendors and on-site food options are part of the event; named vendors include The Fizzy Flamingo-Wisco, KloesCraft Creations, and A Dog's Tale LLC. Swag bag availability has registration deadlines: kids swag bags with a hat and other items require registration by October 9, 2026; 5K swag bags with a t-shirt and finisher medal also require registration by October 9, 2026. Registration opens May 7, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026. Same-day registration and additional shirts and hats will be available for purchase.
