Dia de las Mascotas 5k Bash
Dia de las Mascotas 5k Bash is a Day of the Dead themed community run and walk in Green Lake, WI organized by the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter. The event includes a children’s distance and a community 5K and welcomes participants of all ages and their dogs.
Available distances:
- 1 mile Lil' Goblins kids race
- 5K (3.1 miles) The Great Pup'kin 5K
Both the 1 mile and 5K will be timed this year. The bike trail serves as the running route. The event program includes vendors, a brat fry, face painting, and various dog contests such as best kisser, best trick, and best costume. Prizes will be awarded to top canine finishers and participation prizes will be given to all dogs.
Swag bag details follow registration deadlines: the kids race swag bag includes a hat and other items, and the 5K swag bag includes a t-shirt and a finisher medal; both swag items are reserved for those registered by October 9. Same day registration will be available, and shirts and hats will be offered for purchase. Vendors listed include The Fizzy Flamingo-Wisco, KloesCraft Creations, and A Dog's Tale LLC. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter to support adoption, education, and care for stray and surrendered pets in Green Lake County.
