DFW Burning Soles Trail Series Race 5 : Northshore Trail MADD Shelter, Flower Mound TX
The Burning Soles Trail Series is an 8-week summer trail running series held weekly on Northshore Trail at the Northshore Trail MADD Shelter in Flower Mound, Texas. The course follows laps of Loop 5 with a short segment of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround where a water cache is available.
Races are offered in the following distances:
- 5K trail race, chip timed
- 10K trail race, chip timed
All races are chip timed and participants receive a series bib at their first race that they must reuse for subsequent races. Both distances run on the course at the same time; 10K runners begin with a 45 minute head start to increase spacing between runners. Advertised distances are approximate and may vary with trail conditions.
The series includes weekly podium awards for the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance and age group recognition. At the end of the series the top three finishers in each division receive final series awards.
Registration tiers differ by age group. Juniors 13 and under and adults 14 and older have full series, pre-registration, and late-registration fees. Pre-registration closes at Monday midnight of race week. There are no refunds; transfers are allowed and registrations are rolled to the next week if a race is canceled.
