20th Dewey Beach Liquors 5K
The Dewey Beach Liquors 5K is a road race held in Dewey Beach, Delaware. This event marks the 20th anniversary of the race and serves as the third part of the Ten Sisters of Dewey Beach Road Race Series. The event takes place at North Beach Restaurant, located on the bay at 125 McKinley Street.
Participants can choose from the following categories:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Competitive Walking 5K (strictly for participants who walk the entire course without jogging or running)
The race is chip-timed using the MYLAPS BibTag Timing System. Awards are provided for the top overall male and female finishers, overall male and female masters, and the top three finishers in five-year age groups ranging from 9 and under to 80 and over. There are also awards for the top three male and female competitive walkers.
Event amenities include gender-specific tech shirts for the first 510 registered participants and various giveaway items. A post-race party follows the event, featuring food and beer for participants aged 21 and over. Benefit proceeds from the event support the Dewey Beach Patrol and The Consortium in Lewes.
Limited parking is available at the venue, with free parking at meters and on side streets until 10:00 am. Due to insurance requirements, dogs are not permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
