Devil's Thumb Freedom Run 5K and 15K
The Devil's Thumb Freedom Run is scheduled for July 4, 2026 at Devil's Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, Colorado. The organizer describes this as the first annual 5K and 15K running race plus a 5K walk, starting at the resort and ranch property at 3530 County Road 83.
The course includes gentle rolling hills and moderate elevation gain. Participants receive on-course or post-race refreshments including water, Gatorade and fruit. Packet pickup, check-in and day-of registration are held in the Broad Axe Barn. The event is timed and an award ceremony takes place after the race.
Prizes are awarded to the top three overall finishers. Age-group awards are given for the 5-8 and 9-12 divisions. Every participant is entered in a drawing for additional prizes and receives a commemorative glass.
Parking is available in the lower parking lot at Devil's Thumb Ranch, located to the left of the main lodge.
